
HS Boys Basketball will be holding a player/parent meeting on Tuesday, October 29th, at 6 PM in the HS library for all those student-athletes interested in playing basketball this season. Those attending should enter the main doors by the HS office. The gym foyer will be reserved for those attending the HS girls volleyball regional that is being hosted by Havana High School that week. Spanish 3 and 4 are traveling to Spain! After a fantastic experience in June of 2024, we have decided to travel again in 2026 and 2028! An informational meeting will be held on Monday, November 4th at 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria for all interested students and parents. We will discuss the details of both trips, including qualifications for travel and cost. Following our general meeting, those interested in traveling in 2026 should plan to stay for more specifics related to that trip. For our final Red Ribbon Celebration, Chief Fliege, Mrs. Lee, Mr. Bryant, Nurse Rachel, and Nurse Jennifer, came in and read to students. It was also support-your-favorite-team day, so we wanted to give a shout to our Dolphins fans; they need all the support they can get. 😁








Intro to FACS student are in their Foods Unit. They baked chocolate chip cookies and they did a great job! The kitchen smelled wonderful. Go Ducks!


Students in Intro to FACS learned hand stitches. They were able to practice different stitches and then create something on a blank canvas. All the students did a wonderful job! Go Ducks!


On Wednesday, New Central students celebrated being drug free by wearing active gear and discussing healthy and safe activities they enjoy during their free time. They used "I Choose" charts to display their interests.





Reminder for District 126: today is an Early Dismissal day with a 1:50pm dismissal at the JH, 1:55 at the HS and 2:05 at NC.
Parent-Teacher conferences are this evening in the District...4pm-7pm and tomorrow from 8am-Noon in each building. We hope to see you all at conferences...Go Ducks!

On Friday Mrs Emme hosted another live painting session! Life skills has created a wall of art, and will add a new painting at the change of seasons! We also had blueberry muffins that were made by Ava! A well deserved fun Friday to end off 1st quarter. Go Ducks!

Unfortunately, due to a low number of sign-ups, the American Red Cross fall blood drive scheduled for Thursday, October 24th, at Havana High School has been cancelled. A new date will be set for this spring in hopes of having the blood drive at that time. Go Ducks!

Today, New Central learned about how to say "NO" to drugs, peer pressure, and strangers. They decorated leaves with what words to say, as well as, their face when they say it.

FCA Students decorated the sidewalks outside the high school in honor of Red Ribbon Week! Go Ducks!


The HHS cross country team wrapped up their regular season tonight at Emiquon. It was a fantastic evening for a race, and our runners gave it their all. Earning medals tonight for the Ducks were Deagan Brown (5th), Korey Hurst (7th), and Karlie Hurst (5th). Go Ducks!




Day 1 of Red Ribbon Week - New Central students sat in grade level assemblies to learn about the purpose of the week, discuss the meaning of the Red Ribbon pledge, and had an opportunity to sign the pledge banner.

Tonight the 6th Grade Girls Basketball Team will play Porta at 5:00 with a regular JH Girls Basketball Game to follow at 6:00 & 7:00 against Porta! Good Luck Ducks!!
