The STEAM lab gives New Central students and opportunity to apply content from their other classes in a hands-on, creative way. This type of connection helps students better retain what they have learned. Fun + learning?? It's a win-win!

🐄Students who have been learning about farms built shelters for farm animals that had everything the animals need.
🦖First graders applied their vocabulary knowledge from ELA as they turned into paleontologists excavating skeletons of extinct creatures.
🚀Third graders took what they know about space exploration and various planets to design a vessel that might, in the future, be able to land a human on another planet.
We continue to be so impressed by the conversations and collaboration happening in the STEAM lab and want to thank the community again for making this space possible.
