Havana #126 will not be open tomorrow, Monday, January 26th due to the extremely cold temperatures, questionable road conditions, and overnight potential blowing. When Havana is closed, we also do not transport students that attend other schools outside of the district. Decisions regarding practices and games will be made by noon and posted to social media and shared through apps with families.

Dear Families,

The Transportation Department is excited to start something new for our students! The Havana #126 Polar Express!

All students that normally walk to school will have the ability to catch a shuttle on days when school is open but temperatures, snow, or a combination make it a challenge for walkers.

If the shuttle is going to run that day, a notification will be sent out the night before as well as being posted on social media.

All school and bus rules will apply to these shuttles. Please allow the bus to come to a complete stop before approaching. Details of the shuttle route can be found on the Facebook page as well as the Havana #126 website.

We hope this idea is helpful and provides a safe transportation opportunity for students that walk to school. Remember, there will be an announcement the night before if the Polar Express will be running!

Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls! Our students have been hard at work building real-life skills through hands-on learning! From cooking and baking to games, technology, fine motor tasks, and daily routines, each activity helps strengthen independence, confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills. These moments may look simple, but they represent BIG growth, following directions, working together, practicing patience, and celebrating success along the way. We are so proud of the effort, focus, and joy our students bring to learning every day! 💙 Every student. Every ability. Every day.
