Heat sheets are building! April 11th is the day of the fundraiser. Remember- you don't need to be fast or in shape, you just gotta support the program. As long as you complete the event in less than half an hour, you're golden. There is still lots of time to sign up. Find a track and field athlete or email Coach Logan Jackson at ljackson@havana126.net to sign up.

Day one of IAR testing at New Central is complete. We are proud of the focus and effort we saw today.
Tonight, help your child recharge:
• Make sure they go to bed on time
• Limit late-night screen time
• Offer reassurance, not pressure
Students’ confidence grows when they feel ready and supported. Thank you for your partnership.

🏃♀️HS Track & Field🏃♂️was able to get into the Mt. Zion Final Qualifier to add another indoor event. It was too short notice to get a large group together, but we were able to get Kasyn Jibben another shot at qualifying for Illinois Top Times (Indoor State) next Friday.
Right now she is sitting at 5️⃣th in 1A with a 1️⃣1️⃣:2️⃣9️⃣.5️⃣1️⃣
Kasyn improved her school records in the indoor 3200 and 1600.

🤼♂️Wrestling 🤼♂️ had an open tournament at the CICC in Springfield.
Havana brought 6 kids who each wrestled 3 times. Between this and the fresh/soph & IWCOA girls series we already have 2️⃣9️⃣ off season matches, a higher number than the past two years combined. Big thanks to Dan Barker for coaching today.
Next off season tournament is the PORTA Open. It is FREE to all Havana wrestlers. Minimum 2 matches guaranteed.

What a FUN assembly at New Central Friday! 💙
We celebrated our Blue Paper winners, Bluestem standouts, Students of the Month and our incredible paraprofessionals. So much to be proud of.
We also loved having our guest morning announcers last week, recognizing our attendance winners, and seeing our students step up once again to deliver our backpack program.

Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Cameron brought March Madness energy to New Central's duckbill cart on Friday.
While jamming to stadium tunes and showing off their ball skills, students redeemed their hard-earned duckbills for prizes ranging from bubble gum to extra recess for their whole class.
Students earn duckbills for following behavior expectations. We are proud of the great choices our students make. Keep it up and #goDucks!

The high school varsity softball lose in extra innings at Canton 3-2. The girls played well but just couldn't get a timely hit. They will travel to Tremont Monday.
Make plans to attend! 😁
