Ms. Sadie's Expansion class has been studying Cameras. This week they were welcomed by community member Libby Albers to tour her studio and ask questions about cameras and taking pictures. Thank you, Libby for sharing your time with us!

The PreK students will be collecting Valentine's from all over the U.S. and marking them on a large map. Please share with family and friends who live out of state! We hope to collect Valentine's from all 50 states!

Good morning. Due to the current wintery road conditions in the southern part of the district, Havana CUSD #126 will be CLOSED on Monday, January 6th. This closure includes all students both in the district and those who may travel out of district for classes. Since the winter storm warning expires at noon and conditions may improve throughout the day, decisions on any extracurricular activities will be made at a later time. Administration will reach out to coaches/sponsors and communicate in a timely manner. Stay safe and stay warm.

There will be a JH Wrestling parent/guardian meeting tomorrow, December 2nd following wrestling practice at 5:30 pm. In the Old Gym. One parent/guardian needs to be in attendance.

Our Fall Festival and Touch a Truck event was a huge success. We had well over 300 people attend the event and share in the Fall Fun! Thank you to all of the agencies who contributed to this amazing event!
Fall Festival and Touch a Truck event will be held at the Havana Junior High on October 22nd. The event is hosted by the Mason County Early Childhood Council and the entire community is welcome to attend.

Meet Havana's littlest learners! Our Birth-3 program holds weekly playgroups where all the children can come together to play. If you are interested in joining our program, please call 309-543-3384 ext. 314. We have a few openings available!

Reminder 5th and 6th grade girls basketball practice starts tomorrow after school until 5:15 pm at the Junior High. We will have a short parent meeting at the end of practice. Students must have a sports physical on file in the office before they will be able to practice. Go ducks! 🏀
Havana Birth to Three Open House is today at the Blue Sky Community Center from 11-1. We will be serving lunch and providing information about our program. If you are pregnant or have a child up to the age of 3, please join us to learn how we can help you and your family!

Havana Early Learning Center welcomed State Representative Norine Hammond for a visit today. Norine welcomed the PreK kids on their 1st Day and toured the program!

PreK Open House was a huge success! Our little Ducks are ready for their first day on Tuesday!





We will be holding an Open House for families with newborns and children up to the age of 3 on Thursday, August 29th from 11-1 at the Riverfront Park. We will serve lunch, you can learn about our program, and receive a welcome bag. Please see the flyer for RSVP information!

Reminder: Today is the day for Physicals and Hair cuts from 9:00-1:00 at the Havana Early Learning Center!

Havana PreK, Kindergarten, and Head Start Students: No Cost School Physicals and Haircuts will be offered at the Havana Early Learning Center on Monday, August 5th. Appointments must be made with Mason District Hospital to receive a school physical. Haircuts do not require an appointment.
