
HS Family & Consumer Science classes made homemade pizzas and topped them with their favorite ingredients. While the pizzas baked, the students played an exciting game of UNO. Go Ducks!





Mrs. McDaniel's Knitting Club was able to donate the hats they have made this year to James Bond to hand off to the Inner City Mission in Springfield. Great community jesture by the knitters! Go Ducks!


The New Central PTO meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening, November 9, will take place at 6:00 in the New Central cafeteria. This is a change from the original 6:30 time.

JHGBB: 8th Grade Lady Ducks come away with their 22nd win of the season. This group is now 50-1 in 2 years, but with more work left to do. Regionals for 7th start Sat, 8th grade in a few weeks. Go Ducks!

Nice weather calls for community outings! Highschool lifeskills got to try out the new park after learning about the various safety signs that we see outside, such as stop signs, speed limit signs, crosswalk signs and handicap parking signs. These are all signs that keep us safe!

Thanks to Vic's Place for hosting the football team tonight for one last team meal together and to hand out awards.
Congrats to our All-Conference players: Brayden Barner, Jaron Boggs, Delano Calcutta, Ryan Dye, McGwire Martindale, and Hunter Nichols.
Matthew Windsor (12), McGwire Martindale (17), and Ryan Dye (21) all had over 10 pancake blocks on the year.
Brayden Barner won our "Hit Stick" award for accumulating the most and biggest hits of the year. Brayden ended the season with 125 total tackles which was 1st in our conference and 4th most in the state.
Brayden Barner also was the winner of the Mark Dufelmeier Award for his passion, effort, leadership, selflessness, and many other great characteristics you want in a football player.

JH girls basketball travels to Mt. Sterling for their final regular season road game of the year against Brown County. The 7th grade game starts at 5:30 PM and the 8th grade game follows. Go Ducks!

JH boys basketball travels to Green Valley for tonight's game against Midwest Central. The night will start with a 7th-grade B game at 5:15 PM, followed by the regularly scheduled 7th-grade game around 5:45-6 PM, and concluding with the 8th-grade game. Go Ducks!

The 7th grade girls basketball team will wrap up the regular season this week before traveling to VIT High School for the IESA Regional on Saturday, 11/11. The Ducks play the host school, South Fulton, at 11:15 AM on Saturday. The rest of the bracket is attached. Go Ducks!

Schedule reminder...tonight's originally scheduled JH girls basketball game at home with Abingdon was cancelled last week. The JH girls basketball team will practice from 5-7 PM at the Havana Junior High School.

Mighty Ducks bowlers ALL came home with a medal today. Myra received a bronze medal to finish up her season, way to go! Bringing home the gold and advancing onto state finals are Jason Munsch, Gabriel McMichael and Nevaeh Welbourne! Your coaches are so proud of you!





Good luck to our Mighty Ducks Bowlers at sectionals today! Myra, Jason, Nevaeh, and Gabe are en route to Moline in hopes of advancing to the Special Olympics Bowling State Finals.

The Havana HS Music Department was well represented at the District IV ILMEA Festival held yesterday at WIU in Macomb. Clare Specketer was selected for Senior Orchestra and Prestyn Meyer and Remington Schleyhahn were selected for Senior Choir. Students have to audition to be selected to perform in these ensembles. They rehearsed all day with fellow student musicians and performed in an outsanding concert presented to the public at Western Hall! Way to go Clare, Prestyn, and Remington! Go HHS Music! Go Ducks!





Mrs.Brady's class learned all about the American-Humane Hero Dog Awards, service animals, and made "pup"eroni mini pizzas.
