Reminder...today, Thursday, June 13th, from 9:00-11:30 AM, the Havana School District will be hosting physicians from Mason District Hospital to offer FREE sports physicals for students planning to participate in extracurricular activities next school year (2024-25). For those planning to attend, a staging area will be in the Havana High School cafeteria and cave. Please enter at either the back doors of the building by the HS fitness center or at the front of the building at the main gym entrance doors. All IHSA and IESA sports physical forms will be available upon arrival. Just a reminder that any student planning on participating in an extracurricular activity next school year MUST have a valid physical on file in order to participate. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Attached is a flyer with additional information, as well as the new sports physical forms for those that would like to print early. Havana Mighty Ducks are on their way back from the Summer Games and would LOVE to have your support as they do a police escorted ride around town. They will be coming into town around 11 am, and are excited to show off their medals! Let's line Main Street and welcome them back!🦆

Special Olympics Summer Games have come to a close and The Mighty Ducks had an awesome weekend! Between our 7 athletes in track and gymnastics, they brought home 7 🥇 gold medals, 7 🥈silver medals, 3🥉bronze medals, a 4th and a 5th place ribbon!

4th-8th graders had a lot of fun learning volleyball skills and playing games the last 2 days. Both sessions were full of energy, determination, and lots of fun.

HS girls softball came up just short yesterday in a 5-4 loss in the IHSA sectional semifinal game at Illini Bluffs against Pleasant Hill! Congrats to our girls softball team on a fantastic season! Great work to the coaching staff and players! We are all proud of you! Go Ducks!
Huge shoutout to the HS football team, as well as Coach Hammond and Coach Opp, as they graciously helped out a community member when asked to help with a move yesterday! The players were in the midst of finals, but stepped up to help a community member in need! Go Ducks!

The annual D.A.R.E. Graduation was held today for our 5th grade class! Many students received awards for their test scores, presentations, and service. Congratulations to all of our students! A special thank you goes out to Officer Weseloh for continuing to teach our youth!
