Handicap spectators can enter through Lipcoman’s Service Center which is north of the football field off of Rt 24. Handicap spectators will turn at the Kent Feed sign (west side of Rt. 24) and follow the gravel path to the grass lot in which they can park. Please enter this area off of Rt. 24 ONLY. Non-handicap spectators need to park outside of the fenced area and enter through one of the gates. We have a paved parking lot next to the school and a gravel lot west of the field in which you can park.

Life Skills students were out in the community today touring local businesses. They visited Havana National Bank, Ace Hardware, Wolter's, the library and the post office. We ended with lunch at McDonald's! A beautiful day for a walking field trip.

7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams both fall in close matches to Macomb in their home opener. Back in action on Saturday at home at 10:00am. Keep working hard, Lady Ducks!
This morning FCA members met around the flagpole at 7 AM. Treats were provided by all the local churches here in Havana. It was a great way to start the day. Go Ducks!

The HHS cross country team enjoyed a great meet at Lake Pittsfield. Earning medals this evening were Karlie Hurst (9th) and Korey Hurst (10th). Go Ducks!


Today the Life Skills class went on a trip to Atwater's Operation Christmas Child packing warehouse. They packed a total of 1,088 boxes with toys and necessities for kids all around the world. Our goal was 400 boxes, and we passed that by 10. Looking forward to next time!

Congrats to Mercedez Bassett and Ryan Dye for being recognized by the College Board in their National Recognition Program for their academic excellence and hard work during their high school careers! Very well done by both of these wonderful students! Go Ducks!

Junior High Cross Country recognized their 8th grade runners today: Kasyn Jibben, Jordyn Markley, and Aiden Southwood. We can't wait to continue to watch these runners in the future!


Havana hosted the Big 5 Conference Cross Country meet today. Kasyn Jibben got 1st out of the girls, Audree McCorkle got 3rd, and Desirae Simmers got 4th! Aiden Southwood was 5th out of the boys. All the runners ran an amazing race! Go Ducks!

The Foods students are in their fruit unit and they made fruit pizzas for their first lab of the year. Mrs. Holtman found Rambutan, a fruit found in Southeast Asia. It looked like a sea urchin but was similar to what a plum tastes like. Then the students also got to try dragonfruit which they all loved! Go Ducks!
Last Wednesday, September 11, the High School Chorus experienced amazing acoustics when performing the Star Spangled Banner in a grain bin in honor of 9/11. They put on a phenomenal performance! Thank you to Mike & Raeann Emme for helping us make this possible! It was an incredible experience for all! Go Ducks!

Tomorrow Friday Sept. 20th the Havana Ducks travel to Stark County. The game will be played at Gary Johnson Field (JFL Field).
