HS Boys Basketball will be holding a player/parent meeting on Tuesday, October 29th, at 6 PM in the HS library for all those student-athletes interested in playing basketball this season. Those attending should enter the main doors by the HS office. The gym foyer will be reserved for those attending the HS girls volleyball regional that is being hosted by Havana High School that week. The HHS cross country team wrapped up their regular season tonight at Emiquon. It was a fantastic evening for a race, and our runners gave it their all. Earning medals tonight for the Ducks were Deagan Brown (5th), Korey Hurst (7th), and Karlie Hurst (5th). Go Ducks!
Day 1 of Red Ribbon Week - New Central students sat in grade level assemblies to learn about the purpose of the week, discuss the meaning of the Red Ribbon pledge, and had an opportunity to sign the pledge banner.

New Central first grade teachers hosted a parent night this week. Parents were invited in to learn about strategies, tips, and techniques for helping their child become a better readers. Participants left with a reading kit full of manipulatives to help their child at home. Thank you to those who attended!
