JH Track clocked some great times and scored well in field events at the Little Prairieland Invite last week! 🥇Medals were awarded for 1st place and ribbons were given for 2nd-5th place.

Junior high boys basketball forms were sent out early last week. JH boys basketball camp is May 13-16 for boys entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade next year. Cost is $15. Forms can be turned into the HJHS office and should be turned in by May 7th in order to receive a camp t-shirt. For those interested, please see the attached image for additional information. Today, the students in Advanced Biology took a field trip to Emiquon. They learned about the history of the wetland, the signs of a healthy wetland, collected samples, and took them back to the Therkildsen Field Station to examine all of the macro-invertebrates that they found. Everyone stayed dry (almost) and had a great time. Go Ducks!

Mighty Ducks Gymnastics cleaned house and brought home 9 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 4 bronze medals and 2 4th place ribbons today at regionals! They will compete at the Special Olympics State Games in June! Go Ducks! 🦆

Tonight was New Central Night at the Peoria Chiefs game. Students who met their Spring Reading Challenge goal earned a free ticket to the game and family members could purchase them at a discounted rate. Carter Hackman's name was drawn to throw out the first pitch at the game! It's was a fun night for those who braved the weather.
