HS girls softball came up just short yesterday in a 5-4 loss in the IHSA sectional semifinal game at Illini Bluffs against Pleasant Hill! Congrats to our girls softball team on a fantastic season! Great work to the coaching staff and players! We are all proud of you! Go Ducks!
Huge shoutout to the HS football team, as well as Coach Hammond and Coach Opp, as they graciously helped out a community member when asked to help with a move yesterday! The players were in the midst of finals, but stepped up to help a community member in need! Go Ducks!

The annual D.A.R.E. Graduation was held today for our 5th grade class! Many students received awards for their test scores, presentations, and service. Congratulations to all of our students! A special thank you goes out to Officer Weseloh for continuing to teach our youth!
New Central students enjoyed an inflatables reward today for earning Duck Bills in the last few days of school. Thank you to NC PTO for sponsoring this event. Thanks also to J and M Bouncers for traveling to Havana and setting up and taking down the bouncers. A great time was had by all!

We are extremely excited to announce that Mason District Hospital is going to be providing NO COST sports physicals again this summer for student athletes! The two dates to put on your calendar are Thursday, June 13th, and Thursday, June 27th, at Havana High School from 9-11:30 AM on each date. See the attached flyer for additional details. Reminder...only a couple of days left to get signed up...Havana boys basketball youth camp is May 28-31 for boys entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades next year. Cost is $15. Forms are due by May 21st in order to receive a camp t-shirt. Forms can be turned into the HJHS office or the New Central Elementary school office.
