First grade classes enjoyed their Grinch Day. They made Grinch pills, Grinch dust, Grinch slime, painted the Grinch, and of course made the Grinch’s heart grow “three sizes that day.”




Mrs. Pratt’s class is wrapping up 2nd quarter with some candy cane activities. The candy cane taste testing activity seems to be a favorite!



Just a little taste of some of the Christmas themed movie characters on dress-up day....had the 5th grade Christmas trees and Mrs. Dunker found Cousin Eddy wandering through the halls this morning "that's the gift that keeps on giving, the whole year Clark!" Go Ducks!


The 3rd Annual Christmas Clothing Closet "COVID Style" is almost finished. I still have a few more gifts to put in bags. I cannot wait to pass out the clothing next week. Thanks to all who donated to this needed cause.



Attention Early Childhood/Pre-K parents and guardians: the program will be going remote, starting tomorrow (12/17-12/22) and will return to in-person learning on Tuesday (1/5/21).
New Central students will be greeted this morning by some visitors from Whoville! Welcome, Christmas!

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” The first graders continued their tradition and went caroling to downtown businesses. They even had a couple surprise guests along the way!




The HHS girls’ golf team was finally able to meet together to distribute awards. All players earned Varsity letters this year. Team members include Ella Kramer, Abby Cowell, Libbie Johnson, Maggie Porter, Aly White, Jess White, Taylor Stockham, Zoe Porter and Grace Johnson. Special awards included Zoe Porter - Most Improved, Ella Kramer - Most Dedicated and Grace Johnson - Low Average. Go Ducks!


Students and staff at New Central raised over $700 for the Ashton Fernetti Memorial Scholarship!



First grade classes walked to the post office today and mailed their letters to Santa.

Congrats to our 2019-20 high school girls basketball team for receiving the IBCA All-State 2nd Place Academic Award in Division 6 out of the many schools throughout the state! We received the award yesterday. A fantastic achievement for our student-athletes! Go Ducks!


One of the many activities we are missing during the COVID crisis is small group, leveled reading time that is shared across different classrooms. 3rd grade students, however, adapt and overcome by getting together to buddy read virtually!
