Even unexpected things happen during extracurricular activities this year. After a rim broke at the high school gym during the JV game, the Ducks varsity game was moved to the junior high gym where the Ducks beat South Fulton 61-27. JV took the first game of the night as well!
7th grade girls volleyball with an exciting three set win at Virginia tonight. 8th grade girls come up short in a tough loss in their match. Girls are back at it Thursday at home against Midwest Central. Go Ducks!

With the impending cold weather this weekend, Saturday's High School boys basketball game has a new start time for the game against Greenview. The first game will now be played at NOON with the varsity game following instead of the original 2:00 PM start time.
7th/8th Junior High Girls Volleyball team travels to Virginia Junior High School for their matches tonight. 7th grade match starts at 6:00 PM and 8th grade match follows. Attached is an outline of the guidelines being used this season for indoor events at Virginia. Fans are currently NOT being allowed at indoor events in Virginia due to COVID concerns. However, fans can stream the contest on Facebook by following "Junior High Volleyball" from a Facebook search. Currently, the page is private but we have been informed that if you ask to follow, the Virginia coaching staff will admit those wanting to watch the game tonight. Havana High School Boys Basketball team takes on South Fulton tonight in their first home game of the season. JV game starts at 6:00 PM and Varsity game follows. The JV game will be shortened tonight due to South Fulton having small numbers in their program this season.
The Varsity game typically starts around 7:15 PM but may start sooner tonight. A reminder that anyone in attendance should enter the high school at the building's west side entrance near the main foyer and entrance to the high school gym. All spectators must have a ticket to enter (2 per player) and will need to sign in, as well as be temperature checked, upon entry. No extra tickets will be given. Those without a ticket will not be able to attend the event. Masks are required for all spectators, coaches, and athletes. High School Scholastic Bowl went 2-1 last night in their three all-virtual matches. They posted wins over Farmington and Peoria Heights, but were defeated by Bushnell Prairie City in a tough match. Adam Bohm and Karac Henderson led the team answering toss-up questions. Go Ducks!
