5th grade boys basketball picked up a win against Midwest Central in their final game of the season tonight. 6th grade came up short. 6th grade finishes their season tomorrow night in the championship game of the Havana tournament against Farmington. Go Ducks!

The junior high Student Council recently held a "We CAN make a difference!" food drive during Kindness Week. Shoutouts to Averie, Mendon, & Clare (members of the Community Outreach committee) for their hard work to organize and promote the event. Their efforts resulted in the students and staff donating 1,248 cans of food for the local pantry - well over their goal of 500 cans! Mrs. McDaniel's class collected the most cans and enjoyed brownies from Mrs. Tomm as a reward for their efforts. Special thanks to the Havana Rotary club for helping the students move all the food collected!
