JH CC practice will continue to be down at the river from 8:00-9:00, Monday-Wednesday this week. Thursday-Friday will be at Veterans Park. **There will be a short parent meeting with Mr. Southwood at the end of practice Monday.**

Just a reminder that district-wide IHSA sports practices begin tomorrow, Monday, August 7th. Sports starting tomorrow include high school football, volleyball, cross country, and boys/girls golf. If you're looking for a fall sport that requires no experience, practice for HHS cross country starts next Monday, August 7th at 7:30 am. We will meet in the courtyard on the east side of the high school.

As we approach the beginning of fall sports and extracurricular seasons, the Havana School District would like to notify fans planning to attend home district sporting events that the district will once again be selling athletic event passes during the 2023-24 school year. Passes can be purchased anytime when school is in session at the Havana Junior High School office. These passes are a great option for those fans that plan to attend a large number of home events this year. See the attached flyer for prices and additional information regarding the passes, as well as admission costs for attending events this year. Reminder that these passes, as well as the admission prices to attend events, are excluded and separate from sanctioned tournaments by the IHSA, IESA, etc. that the district may host. While you are in town to register your student this Thursday, the Mason County Health Dept has a walk-in shot clinic from 7am-11am, no appt necessary!
REMINDER...a player/parent meeting for all IHSA fall athletes will take place at the Havana High School football field today, Tuesday, August 1st, at 6 PM. Meet in the home bleachers. Any athletes participating in high school sports during the fall season and their parents, as well as junior high football athletes and parents, should plan to attend the meeting. Coaches will hand out important information, including team schedules and team rules at the meeting. Go Ducks!
New Central Elementary School will host its annual Meet-the-Teacher Night on Wednesday, August 16 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Students should bring their school supplies that evening. Class lists will be posted after registration on Wednesday, August 9 after 3:00.
Havana Ducks softball players, Jaylynn Sarnes and Kaydi Miller, will be representing District 17 in the Little League World Series in Delaware tonight at 7 PM on ESPN+ against Hawaii. Tune it and cheer on two of our girls softball players and their team! Go Ducks!

School Registration for ALL schools will be held on Thursday Aug 3rd from 9:00am-1:00pm and 2:30pm-5:30pm in the Junior High Gym.
NEW THIS YEAR:
PE Uniforms will be provided for all incoming 7th and 9th graders at no charge(one uniform for each student, extras can be purchased). All other grades in need of uniforms can purchase them at registration for $5 a piece. Uniforms will also be available throughout the year in the school offices for purchase.
