Once again, congratulations to our 8th-grade girls basketball team on reaching the IESA State class 2A state tournament! The Ducks will play the first game of the day on Saturday, 12/9, at 10 AM at Havana High School. For those planning to attend, tickets can be purchased ahead of time via GoFan. Tickets are cheaper through GoFan ($8 per adult/$4 per K-8 students and seniors 62+) compared to purchasing at the admissions gate the day of the game ($10 per adult/$5 per K-8 students and seniors 62+). HS girls basketball team travels to Lewistown for a game against the rival, Indians. The JV game starts at 6 PM and the varsity game follows. The JV game will be shortened game so plan on the varsity game starting earlier than normal. Good luck to the Ducks!

Good luck to the 7th grade boys basketball team as they play in the 3rd place game of the Fulton County Tournament this evening at 6:15 PM against the Lewistown Indians. The Havana Junior High is hosting the crossover games of the 7th grade boys tournament this evening. The first game is between North Fulton and Farmington at 5 PM, the Ducks and Indians in the second game of the night at 6:15 PM, and the championship game starts at 7:30 PM between Canton and South Fulton. Saturday we added 4 wins against Carlinville, Litchfield, Auburn, and Pinkneyville. We fell to Roxana.

HS Child Development students created a Healthy Cookbook for Children. Some of their recipes look like animals that would be more appealing for children to eat. A fun time was had by all! Go Ducks!
