Second Graders have been busy readers this year. Together they have now read 2,286 AR books and a total of 1.9 million words! We have seen so much growth in their ability and love of reading!

Thursday was "Elegant Day" in Kindergarten. Our students dressed their best and spend the day learning about manners, respectful behavior, and even practiced a few dance moves. It was so special to watch them show kindness, confidence, and celebration of one another. We are so proud of our young students.

A big thank you to Mrs. Amber Sarnes for coming in to talk to the Parenting Class about Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). It's an association that "supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every child has experienced abuse or neglect can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive." Thank you for telling us all about the program and sharing stories of how children have benefited from CASA and are doing great! We appreciate your work in helping better children's lives.

Students in Interior Design are learning to sew on a sewing machine. They are getting a feel for the machines and getting a good groove by sewing paper. There isn't thread in the machines, just the needle. They are learning how to guide the paper with the needle. They are excited to get sewing with thread and fabric. Go Ducks!
