Aiden Rilea accepted Mrs. Hackman's challenge to build a weight-bearing tower out of craft sticks, string, and glue. The top of his tower fell apart, so the class tested the bottom cube. The cube held 50 pounds before it collapsed. Aiden is in Mrs. Hackman's Pre-Algebra Class.

Ryan Phelps accepted Mrs. Hackman's challenge to build a three-story tower that would hold weight. The materials were limited to craft sticks, string, and glue. Ryan's tower held 75 pounds before it collapsed. Ryan is in Pre-Algebra Class.

2nd Graders have been using Accelerated Reader (AR) to improve their independent reading skills this year. This program has motivated them to read a total of 1,110 AR books and 681,804 words! They have made amazing progress raising their reading levels and we are so proud of them! This puts them on track for 1 million words by the end of the year!
