"The strength of the team is each member. The strength of each member is the team"

🏃♀️HS Track & Field 🏃♂️ had 1️⃣9️⃣ PRs today and set some starting points for other races. It's the kids 2nd competition of the season, they were aching to get some seed times on a few races.
The girls sprinters were really put to work today. 9 girls in the 100, 7 in the 200, and 5 in the 400. I was happy to see the effort by all the sprinters, but especially the girls who ran the 400 then the 200 about 15 minutes later. That's a tough turn around from max effort run to max effort run.
Speaking of "MAX EFFORT:" Shout out to -Max- Layton. This kid has been working his tail off at practice and the weight room. He had a 3.5 foot PR on the shotput and a 14 foot PR on the disc. He was extremely active part of the hurdle crew, setting up, tearing down. And when it came down to it and a sprinter couldn't do a relay I asked if he could do it. His response: "put me at ancor, I'll take it home." [There may be some creative liberties in that quote.]
Coach Cam Lee has taken charge of the boys 4x800 crew. That crew was responsible for 17 of the 35.5 points the boys team scored. Not only that, but they won an intersquad grudge match- Distance 4x400 versus Sprinter 4x400 (we will not mention that two legs of the sprinters' crew was borrowed from the throwers)
Another cool moment was when Kasyn Jibben stuck with a crew of really fast boys in the 3200. She ended up with a personal best in the race.
I'm so proud of everyone. I could ramble on and on. I'm excited to see these kids get better through the season.
🦆 ⚾️ makes the trip to Cuba, and comes away with a 6-3 win vs LVC! Great pitching performance by Caleb McDaniel. Ducks also had a good day at the plate with 12 hits. Ducks start conference play Saturday at home vs P Heights. #GODUCKS #BUYIN

JV Baseball drops the season opener 7–1 to LVC.
Right back at it tomorrow in Cuba, running it back with the LVC JV squad after the varsity game. Go Ducks!🦆⚾️
Lady Ducks explode for 6 runs in the bottom of the 5th to beat Abingdon Avon. Ava Kramer started the scoring with a big two out two run single followed by Elly Painter's two run dinger! Madolyn Howerter was in control the whole game pitching a shut out. Way to go girls!
Today’s JV baseball game vs. LVC ⛏️ will be played at Lewistown High School. First pitch is set for 4:30 PM. Go Ducks ⚾️ 🦆!
Tattoo a Teacher is happening NOW at HHS! The students going on the senior trip are putting on this fun event! You choose the tattoo, you choose the teacher! Anyone can send in money, drop off money at the office or make other arrangements to purchase temporary tattoos to have them put on participating teachers! Prices are $1 for small, $3 for medium and $5 for a large tattoo.
Teachers will be tattooed Friday morning, so don't delay! Thank you from the Seniors!!

Another great season of Little Ducks has come to an end! Approximately 25 students participated this year with a few of them wrestling in the PORTA Open in March. There are more opportunities for clinics and open tournaments this spring and summer. If your son/daughter is interested, please reach out to Coach Cam Lee (clee@havana126.net) or Coach Brian Lee (blee@havana126.net) for more information. Thank you to the parents, administration, custodians, JH and HS wrestlers, and others who helped support the Little Ducks program!
