Mrs. McDaniel’s, Ms. Beam’s, and Mrs. Olson’s Social Studies classes investigated Julius Caesar’s death while studying Ancient Rome. They read primary and secondary sources, and looked at fingerprints to decide who the suspect was. To take this further so the students can relate this to real life scenarios, Sherriff Gann and Deputy Burgett came in to set up a mock crime scene, where students blocked off the crime scene, surveyed the scene for irregularities, collected evidence and tagged it, dusted for fingerprints, and lifted useful latent prints.
