Seniors Get Recognized
By: Tyler Rohlwing
On May 11, 2017 at 8:30 A.M., Havana High School will hold its annual senior awards ceremony. This is where the seniors are recognized for their accomplishments and given accolades. During this ceremony, scholarships and awards will be presented to certain seniors who earned them through essays, applications, and hard work. Some of the scholarships given will be small, but others will be much greater. Examples of some of these scholarships are the Rotary, the Optimist, Spoon River College Scholarships, and many more. Awards will be given to students who have been recognized as the best in a subject area. Students who meet and exceeded expectations on the ACT will be recognized. The public is invited to come and join Havana High School as we celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2017.
