New Central students created a flower garden art project, each flower representing how much they’ve grown this year, socially, emotionally, and academically.
Just like flowers, our students have blossomed in their own unique ways, and we couldn’t be prouder!

It was a very busy week with 4 meets in 7 days. We are very happy with how the crew responded. Some kids had PRs in back to back to back meets.
We look forward to having a few practices this week to improve on some technical things.
The last home meet of the season is Thursday!

Havana High School Student Council will be at County Market this Sunday, May 4th, from 9 AM - 2 PM. They will be grilling up pork chops and the Roasted Coffee Truck will be there. Chops will be $5. Roasted will have a menu with their prices. They will be featuring a "Quack Attack" for the Havana Duck Fans. Student Council is raising money to help put on a safe, memorable, fun Homecoming this fall. Thank you for your support. Go Ducks!

Congrats to the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award winners from the Havana School District - 8th grade student, Emma Thomas, and high school senior, Anthony Foster. They were both recognized over the weekend by those that made the selection. Go Ducks!


Congrats to Josie Hughes for being recognized as an honorable mention all-state player by Champaign @ngpreps and for being selected to play in the IBCA all state all-star game.


Second Graders have been busy readers this year. Together they have now read 2,286 AR books and a total of 1.9 million words! We have seen so much growth in their ability and love of reading!

Thursday was "Elegant Day" in Kindergarten. Our students dressed their best and spend the day learning about manners, respectful behavior, and even practiced a few dance moves. It was so special to watch them show kindness, confidence, and celebration of one another. We are so proud of our young students.
