Eating worms, riding the rapids, climbing through a bat cave, enduring physical challenges, and tackling the treacherous hopscotch. All these activities were part of today's 6th grade Amazing Race in Miss Thomas' ELA class. The ultimate challenge was to "Determine a theme or central idea of a text" (RL 6.2)
The high school will offer a SAT/ACT test prep course class next year. Using their PSAT results in Khan Academy, a personalized practice program will guide students in improving their Math and English skills. Encourage next years soph/junior to take this self improvement class.

The 6th grade ELA students had to think like detectives, during today’s inference lesson, in order to solve the Seusstastic Mystery in Miss Thomas’ Class.
Congrats to Trace Fletcher on a job well done shooting at the IHSA State three-point competition today! Fell short in becoming one of the final four shooters in class 2A but a fantastic job representing the Havana Ducks and one heckuva ride to make it to Carver Arena and State!

By a slim margin the 5th grade has the highest percentage of students dressing up for anti bullying week. Tomorrow students and staff will dress up in mismatched clothes.
