The weather cooperated today and New Central had a fantastic Turkey Trot. We are so proud of all of the students who gave their best effort and finished the trot. We're also proud of the sportsmanship demonstrated by our students as they cheered on each and every one of their classmates. Thank you to Mrs. Hofman for planning the trot and helping prepare students and to Havana Police Department, Havana Fire Department and parent volunteers for helping block intersections. Thanks again to our snack and drink donors. We couldn't have done it without all of you! We wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving break.

Attention New Central students and families: Say it with me 🌧️ Rain, rain, stay away, It’s our Turkey Trot today! We are closely monitoring the weather, so please keep an eye on Dojo for the grade level schedule and any updates! We couldn’t put this fun event on without the support from our PTO and the local businesses they gathered donations from: Studio 300, Havana Women of Today, and Ashley VanEtten of Edward Jones. We can't wait to gobble up the excitement 🏃 🦃 🏃‍♀️ 🦆

🤼‍♂️ HS Wrestling 🤼‍♂️ (1️⃣-1️⃣) Tonight we faced Civic Memorial, Pleasant Plains, and North Mac. Our highlight dual was a big ranked matchup: 1A #8 PORTA vs 2A #12 Civic Memorial. We came up short, 30–50, in a dual that featured a showdown between two top-10 ranked wrestlers. Against North Mac and Pleasant Plains, our kids dominated, winning 2️⃣0️⃣ of 2️⃣3️⃣ matches and 5️⃣ of 6️⃣ girls’ matches. In total, we were able to get 3️⃣3️⃣ different wrestlers on the mat tonight.
