This is another reminder to all parents and guardians that students cannot be at school if they have any symptoms of any kind. You are to be checking for symptoms daily and wearing a bracelet to show that they are symptom free. Any student with symptoms must remain home for 10 days, per health department guidelines, and can only return sooner by obtaining a negative test. Please help us by doing your part.

From Mrs. Cowell: I am continually impressed with and appreciative of our supportive families and community. While things were not perfect this morning, I did not see anyone complaining or upset. Everyone is patient and kind and for that we are truly thankful. Our kids were great today! No one even noticed their masks! Great job, parents, for helping your child get ready. Morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal were slow, as is typical on the first day of school. We are working out the bugs in both processes and should be flowing smoothly by the end of the week. All in all it was a great first day. What a joy to see those smiling faces, even if behind a mask. New Central - Better Together!!

The Junior High Cross Country also celebrated 8th grade night by recognizing three 8th graders from this season - Jack Curless, Landon Duckwiler, and Deagan Brown. Thanks for your hard work. We are proud of you guys!

We are happy to be back at school!
