Havana CUSD

The Havana High School Football Program will be hosting a youth camp for students entering grades 2–6 on July 21st and 22nd, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. The camp is free for all participants. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Hammond at khammond@havana126.net.

The varsity football team had a great experience at camp the last two days at Monmouth College. Our boys were able to compete in a couple of joint practices with Ridgeview/Lexington and got to spend some valuable time growing as a team as our season nears.

JHGSB will begin practice on Monday, July 28, 2025, and 4:15 PM. Practices will be held at the softball field near the football and baseball fields. Players should wear softball pants and bring a face mask, glove, bat, and cleats. A current sports physical is required to participate. Players will not be allowed to practice until one is on file. Havana Junior High Football Camp is just over 2 weeks away. If your child is planning on playing football this year please plan on attending this camp July 23-24 from 6-8 PM at the high school practice field. Reach out to Coach Opp (mopp@havana126.net) with any questions!

Had a great time at the Wartburg camp. The varsity team went 9-0, we had a 2nd team in and the young guys got some good varsity matches, they said they learned a lot in the training sessions, and we had success at the individual tournament. The guys racked up 130+ wins through the weekend. JHGSB will be holding three open gyms prior to the start of the season. Athletes entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade who are interested in playing this fall are encouraged to attend. The old high school bleachers have been taken down and the boards are stacked behind the weight room. If anyone is interested they are available.

🦆🥎 A very big congratulations to the 2025 team. Their season came to an end one step away from the state tournament to an excellent Carrolton team 3-4 in 11 innings. So much to be proud of today and throughout the season. Thank you for all the support. Go Ducks!!

Summer Lunch Program

Summer workouts for our high school athletes begin tomorrow morning from 7:00-8:30 AM. These sessions will be every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. All athletes are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions please reach out to your coaches.
