All 5th-8th grade girls interested in playing basketball this year, practice will begin on Monday, September 13th after school until 5 PM at the Havana Junior High School gym. If JH softball is still playing, all softball players will report to softball practice. There will be a short parent meeting for 5th and 6th grade parents immediately following practice on Monday just outside the gym doors. For those attending the varsity football game tonight, there are two admissions entrances on the home side of the football field to improve flow for fans. One admissions entrance is at the main entrance at Arthur Dufelmeier Field near the concession stand and the other is along the access road near the north end zone. If you are coming to the game tonight, feel free to use either one as a way to get into the game quickly and efficiently. Also, visiting fans are encouraged to enter at a third admissions entrance at the access road on the visiting side of the field. Varsity football hosts Illini West tonight at Arthur Dufelmeier Field starting at 7 PM. Both teams enter tonight's game at 1-1 after splitting their first two games of the season. The Havana HS cheer and dance squads are promoting the game for St. Jude's childhood cancer awareness month. Cheer and dance are encouraging fans attending the game to wear purple and gold. HS girls volleyball results from tonight. Freshman and JV come up short in their matches but the varsity team beats Illini West in two sets, 25-22 and 25-20! Go Ducks!
JHXC top 25 medal winners for the Schuy-Rush Invite!
Great Invite today for JHXC! We had many runners earn PRs at this large meet and had 3 runners place in the top 25 which earned them a medal. Great job to all the runners!
There was a medical situation on board one of our buses in Matanzas Beach today. The situation is resolved. Thank you to our first responders from EMS and Mason Co. Sheriff for their quick arrival. Also, we are very appreciative of our transportation team who worked through this situation and made sure everyone was safe. Finally, be proud of our students, Havana!! A great group of kids handled the incident with calm and grace and did exactly what was asked of them.

JH cross country travels to Schuy-Rush Park in Rushville for the Rushville Invitational this afternoon. Girls race starts at 4:30 PM and boys race starts at 5 PM. Good luck to our JH cross country team!
