Beginning Band Kidder Instrument Night for 5th grade parents and students will be August 19th in the Havana Junior High School band room from 6:00-8:00 PM. Due to the recent state mandate, all those that attend must wear a mask inside the building. Contact band director, Mrs. Wiegers, by email at awiegers@havana126.net with any questions.

Registration for the High School is next Wednesday, August 11th, from 9am-1pm, 2:30pm-5:30pm. Enter through the West doors to the gym. Registration will take place in the office area.
For returning students: We will have you confirm your information is correct on your Demographic sheet. Please make sure your phone number and email are correct for communication purposes. The yearbooks are here are can be picked up in room 26 along with senior photos. For new students: We have a packet of information we will need you to fill out.
All Students: Fees and schedule changes can be done in the office. You can pay fees on-line through My School Bucks, which can be set up with credit card (The Link is on District website) or Alma Stripe, which would link to bank account directly. You can also pay in the office via cash or a check. Schedule changes will only be done for academic reasons.
Masks must be worn while in the building, per our new State mandate that came out this week.
We are finalizing our back to school protocols and procedures and will have more information for you at Registration pertaining to the beginning of the school year.
Breakfast and Lunches for all students will be free for the 2021-22 school year.
The first day for students is Wednesday, August 18th. We will be back on regular school hours this year. High School will begin at 8:00 and we will dismiss at 3:00 on regular schedule days.
If you have not registered online through ALMA start, then we hope to see everyone at Registration next Wednesday, August 11th.

Just a reminder that Junior High Registration is next Wednesday, August 11th, from 9am-1pm and 2:30-5:30pm, here at the Junior High. Each building will be conducting registration at their respective buildings...we hope to see you then! Go Ducks!

All high school football players...Equipment handout will take place this Sunday, August 8th at the HS Fitness Center. Equipment handout starts with seniors and juniors at 3:00 PM and continues with sophomores at 4:00 PM and ends with freshmen at 5:00 PM. All school physicals and required school forms can be turned into Coach Leng at the equipment handout. Also, football players are reminded to continue their card sales and the final card sale event will take place on Thursday, August 12th at 4:30 PM. Any questions can be answered by contacting Coach Leng.

As extracurricular activities begin practices in the district this week and next week, in accordance with Governor JB Pritzker's mask mandate for schools during his speech on August 4th, the IHSA adopted their sports guidance in accordance with IDPH as well. At this time, the IDPH all-sports policy "requires masks to be worn for all indoor IHSA athletic events regardless of an individual’s vaccination status. This mask directive for indoor athletic events applies to student-athletes, coaches, officials, game personnel, and fans." A quick all group meeting will start at the main home bleacher area and then individual sports groups will split up at different areas for your sport specific meetings with their coaches. Please do your best to attend this meeting if you plan to play a Fall sport this year. Go Ducks!

2022 REGISTRATION is OPEN at HIGH SCHOOL. Registration for students returning to Havana School District is open for the High School at this time. All you need to do is login to your alma account and make sure you are in the correct school year. Then go to Alma start and complete the form "Havana High School Registration Form - Returning Students 2022" The directions if you need them are at this link. https://5il.co/uuoo This process works better on a computer or tablet, but can be done on your phone. You can pay fees online through Alma in your Stripe account or through your My School Bucks account.
