The Illinois Retired Teachers Association awards over $36,500 in grant money to several public school educators from across the state. This grant money allows educators to enrich their instruction with materials not otherwise available to them. Kyla Mason and the 2nd grade team at New Central received one of the $500+ grants to provide student copies of The Magic Tree House Titanic Research Guide. This will allow students to have individual copies to do research during their Titanic unit in the spring. Congratulations!!
