Mrs. Brady's Classroom October activities and community outings. Bank trip, Apple Orchard, and ham, egg, and cheese breakfast biscuits or "crocodile Bites" to go with our N2Y story. To end the month we will have painted pumpkins and a haunted house.





HHS life skills students made some Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Mac and cheese today to go along with our Red Ribbon Week theme! We are red-y to be drug free!





5th and 6th grade girls basketball both got wins tonight at home against VIT!

Students and staff at New Central Elementary were evacuated for a brief time when a gas main was struck on the lot across the street from the school on Pearl. Under direction of Havana 126, the Havana Police Department and the Havana Fire Department, the evacuation was quick and safe. All staff and students have returned to the building as directed by Havana Police and Fire Departments. Thank you to all staff and students, our emergency responders, the Havana Park District, Havana 126 administration and Havana 126 transportation department for keeping our kids safe.

Unfortunately, the HS girls volleyball season came to an end last night in IHSA Regional play. We would like to thank all of the volleyball girls for a fantastic season! All of their hard work and dedication did not go unrecognized. Also, a huge thank you to the coaching staff - Coach Foster and Coach Friend for all of their work! Finally, thank you to the parents, families, and the community for their support this season! Go Ducks!

8th grade Lady Ducks win Fulton County Tournament championship tonight 20-16 over North Fulton in Farmington. A hard fought defensive battle. That’s a clean sweep of the girls Fulton County tournaments with the 7th and 8th grade teams taking home the crowns this year!! Go Ducks!

Over the last few weeks, Advanced Biology students completed a unit that covered worms and mollusks. Along the way, they were able to carry out dissections of an earthworm and squid. Hands on experiences like these provide great opportunities to learn. Go Ducks!
