
Students at New Central enjoyed a fun and inspirational message from Terrence Lee Talley on Friday. Terrence talked about things students could do to be Super Heroes. Everyone danced, laughed, and had a great time! Thank you, Terrence Lee Talley, for a wonderful program!

Drue Morrell was School Announcer at New Central! He earned enough Duck Bills for following school expectations to purchase a School Announcer certificate at the Duck Bill store. Way to go, Drue!


JH boys basketball practice for this afternoon, Friday, November 4th, has been moved to Havana High School from 3:15-5:15 PM. Go Ducks!

Declan Pedigo was Principal for a Day at New Central! Declan did the school announcements, completed some important paperwork, did an assessment of fence security and other very important principal jobs. He purchased a Principal for a Day certificate using his Duck Bills that he earned following school expectations. Great job, Declan!





Mark your calendars...We will be celebrating Dunker Camouflage Day again this year on Thursday, November 17th. Students and staff are encouraged to wear Mr. Dunker's favorite color - camouflage - that day! Additional information will be announced at each school. Go Ducks!

Congrats to the following football players for being selected to the Prairieland All-Conference team this season - Dane Olson (1st-team at-large RB and 2nd-team ILB), McGwire Martindale (1st-team DE and 2nd-team OG), Jake Lawson (special mention OT and special mention DT), Jaron Boggs (special mention WR), Hunter Nichols (special mention WR), and Lance Hamm (special mention OLB). Jr High Lady Ducks came away with two more wins tonight at Pleasant Plains. With two tough weeks remaining in the regular season both the 7th and 8th grades share identical 17-0 records. Go Ducks!!

JH girls basketball travels to Pleasant Plains for a game this evening. The 7th grade game starts at 5:30 PM and the 8th grade game follows. The game will be played at Farmingdale School (address: 2455 North Farmingdale Road, Pleasant Plains, IL 62677). Go Ducks!

Liam Brooks was School Announcer at New Central today! He earned the chance to talk over the intercom by purchasing a School Announcer pass at the Duck Bill Store. Students earn Duck Bills at New Central by following school expectations. Great job, Liam!


Fourth grade students at New Central took a virtual field trip to a pig farm. The field trip was hosted by LEAP (Leading Educator about Pigs) and the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Students got to see pregnant sows, piglets who were only a few hours old, and piglets who had been weaned and were living in the nursery barn. Students were able to interact with the hosts by asking questions in the chat and having them answered live.




Jr High Lady Ducks 7th and 8th grade traveled to Jacksonville Jr High tonight and came away with a couple wins. Go Ducks!!

8th grade boys basketball beats South Fulton 39-18. Go Ducks!

South Fulton beats the 7th grade boys 23-22. 8th grade game up next. Go Ducks!

7th and 8th grade boys basketball both come up short tonight at Delavan. Ducks are back in action tomorrow night in their home opener against South Fulton. Go Ducks!

5th/6th grade girls basketball finished their season this evening against North Fulton...missing a few, but these girls played hard and improved a lot these last few weeks! Looking forward to next year! Go Ducks!

Bryar Lane placed 8th in the 11th-12th grade 182 lb. weight class at the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend. There were over 3700 wrestlers in attendance at one of the most prestigious events held each year. Congrats Bryar!
