Havana boys golf played at played at the PORTA invite today. Many players had their personal best. Miles Chapin got 1st place overall shooting a 75 and winning in extra holes. Miles has put in a lot of practice to earn his first win! Great job Miles!

It's been a great week to be a Duck! A huge shout out to the staff and students for a fun and yet still productive week at school.

We hope you can join us for the homecoming game tonight! Students should be cheering on their team, but if they are going to play it needs to be outside of the fenced area on the football practice field. Keep in mind this area will not be directly supervised but is still school property. Please talk to your student about behavior expectations and safety. We also ask that you keep an eye on them. There haven't been any major issues yet and we are just trying to prevent this from becoming a safety concern for all spectators. Thank you and Go Ducks!

Big thanks to Officer Engledow for coming out to the Junior High yesterday to talk with our 7th and 8th graders about what you do as a conservation officer! The students are learning about ecology right now, and your talk really helped them see how conservation fits into keeping ecosystems healthy. They also loved getting to ask all their burning questions!

These 2 students (Kaden and Adree) were caught being Legendary yesterday here at HJH. They picked up messes that were not theirs and gave a good effort throughout the day. Go Ducks!!

Stop by the H-Club table at the Homecoming football game tonight to get your new DUCK sign! They will be there selling from 6:00-7:00pm. Signs are $20. Thank you and GO DUCKS! 🦆

FCA participated in "See you at the Pole" which was celebrated nationally today. Our students and staff came together and enjoyed a breakfast which was graciously donated by the churches in town. Then they prayed together. It was a great way to start the day. Thank you to all who participated. Go Ducks!

Biology students have been working hard and showing their creativity this week by creating their own board game to help review for a test on photosynthesis. Go Ducks!

The HHS cross country team made a long trek to run at Lake Pittsfield this evening. Medaling for the Ducks was Kasyn Jibben who finished in 1st place. On the boys side, Bracdyn Richmond PR’d on one of the most difficult courses of the year. Go Ducks!

Lena Koonce was caught being Legendary this week at HJH for cleaning up a mess made by others and being a leader! Go Ducks!!

A big thank you to Pete and Chuck for hanging our new PBIS TV in the cafeteria and our Track & Field record-holder board in the gym! Also a thank you to our TV Donors, it is much appreciated! Go Ducks!!

Homecoming week is in full effect this week. The theme is "Aloha Havana, Tropical Getaway."

Fun events that the community is invited to are:
- Powderpuff is on Wednesday night at 7PM at the football field.
- Ironman will take place right after the girls home volleyball game.

The Cross Country teams traveled to Athens for the Athens Invite. There were several personal best times and Audree and Locke earned medals for placing in the top 25 out of over 200 runners. Go Ducks!

Life skills students have been hard at work the past 2 weeks making homecoming shirts! We have a few left over, so stop by the life skills lab with $15 if you would like one. They are first come first serve!
