Havana #126 will need to dismiss at 10:00 today so Ameren can turn off power to make repairs in the community. Please be patient with dismissal. If you need to make special arrangements for your child, try the child's school or District Office.

The storms have caused some challenges this morning but school is still open today. Buses will be running late and there may need to be a change in lunch potentially. Everything else we can work through. Be careful driving to school.

Busses this morning will be running roughly 40 minutes behind. We apologize for the delay.

🩸 Feeling Brave This Friday the 13th? We’ve Got a Appointment for You...
This Friday the 13th, we’ve brought in a very motivated specialist to assist with our American Red Cross Blood Drive in the HHS Gym. He's trading in his usual tools for a sterile needle and a lab coat, and we think he'll make a compelling argument for donation!
Make your mark and prove that local "leaders" aren't afraid of a little pinch.
Don't let superstition keep you away; blood is urgently needed. Don't wait, secure your spot now, and help us prove that good deeds defy bad luck! We promise the cookies in the canteen are absolutely killer.
We'll see you there (he's watching to make sure you sign up!).

A big thank you to Ace Hardware of Havana for their generous donation to the New Central STEAM Lab! 🦆
Our students wasted no time putting the washers to work. For their first experiment, they designed and built foil boats, then tested how many washers their boats could hold before sinking. The excitement, problem solving, and teamwork were so fun to watch!
We are so grateful for community partners like Ace Hardware and we can’t wait to see what future experiments and learning adventures these materials inspire!
