Lady Ducks take down West Prairie 16-4. Shelby Hill was the star with 5 RBIs and 7 strikeouts in 6 innings of work on the mound. Kaydi Miller got the Lady Ducks going with her 4th homer of the season. The girls are home the next two days.
The New Central annual Third Grade Yard Sale is such a great teaching tool for students as they learn how to organize their own shops, handle money, work with customers, and see how hard work can make a difference.
Thanks to their efforts earlier this year, third grade was able to make donations this week to our local animal shelter and food pantry.
Also making a special appearance this week was substitute teacher “Ma’am Ham” filling in for Miss Witherell’s class. 😂 She took her role seriously and kept the class on track; a hard task this time of year.
So proud of the leadership and big hearts our students continue to show. All Ducks fly together! 🦆

To celebrate the start of Spring we went to Triple E farms, and Dozer Park. April community outings. Mrs Brady's class.

Havana National Bank's President and CEO Jeff Bonnett came to see Mrs. Sams' second grade class last week as part of the Adopt-a-Classroom program. He talked to the students about growing up and going to school in Havana, walking right past the bank, and thinking how cool it would be to work there one day. He explained what happens at a bank and how he ended up working there. The students asked good questions and were a great audience
