PBIS

At New Central, our core behavior expectations are: Be here and be ready, be respectful, be responsible, be safe. Each week, we focus on a specific skill related to one of these core expectations.  By explicitly teaching students these life-skills, we hope to set them up for success far beyond their time at New Central.   So far this year, students have practiced the following skills.

  • Come every day you can

  • Raising Your Hand

  • Following directions the first time

  • Following hallway expectations

  • Arriving on time

  • Listening to others

  • Taking care of materials

  • Being safe at recess

  • Using take home folders

  • Including others

  • Cleaning up after yourselves

  • Keeping hands feet and other objects to yourself

  • Whole body listening

  • Using respectful tone and language

  • Finishing what you start

  • Reporting problems to adults

  • Washing hands and covering sneezes and coughs

  • Being respectful in the restroom
