HHS successfully carried out its first Flood Drill today! Students were to take off their shoes and socks and then stand on their chairs. Based on the pictures, we are going to need more practice to get it right! That next drill is already scheduled for April 1st of next year! Go Ducks!

Good morning. Due to the current wintery road conditions in the southern part of the district, Havana CUSD #126 will be CLOSED on Monday, January 6th. This closure includes all students both in the district and those who may travel out of district for classes. Since the winter storm warning expires at noon and conditions may improve throughout the day, decisions on any extracurricular activities will be made at a later time. Administration will reach out to coaches/sponsors and communicate in a timely manner. Stay safe and stay warm.

Unfortunately, our phone system is down again in the Havana 126 School District. Please email your child's teacher or an administrator for any communication. Thank you.
This is a friendly reminder that Tuesday, November 26th is a regular school day with no early dismissal. We wish everyone a a Happy Thanksgiving and we are grateful for all of our students, staff, and families.

Good luck to Cayden Green as he heads to Charleston to compete in the long jump at the State Track Meet!

Big shout out to the HS Track Hot Dog Relay Team for finishing their season undefeated in races where a hot dog was the reward for winning!
This impressive feat included a decisive victory in our inaugural "Anything but a Baton" 4x100 relay. Their choice for a baton replacement this year was a bowling pin! Great Job Fellas!!

We want to thank John Lorek, Illinois Ability Sports and all who participated in the first ever Special Olympics Golf Outing Fundraiser. $1,500 was donation to the Havana Special Olympics Program, thanks you for your generosity.

FFA Week's final event is our taping a teacher to the pole! The teacher collecting the most donations is the winner. Mr. Wherley was this year's lucky winner! We wish we had a picture of the look on his face when we told him we need twice as many donations before we cut him down!

The FFA Petting Zoo is set up and ready to go!

Students in Integrated Science built balloon cars using their knowledge of Newton's Laws of Motion. Today they put their cars to the test to see how far they could travel.
